A JOYFUL JOURNEY WITHIN
This retreat after Christmas is a special opportunity to become familiar with Buddhist meditation and in particular the meditations on the stages of the path to enlightenment. These meditations, known as Lamrim, have the power to improve our good qualities (love, compassion and wisdom) and increase our inner peace and happiness. We will also do breathing meditation to calm and relax our mind before the Lamrim meditations.
These Larmim meditations are based on the new book “the mirror of Dharma”, all of which are methods to improve our inner peace, happiness and good qualities. Breathing meditation can help us to relax and become more peaceful but by also practicing Lamrim meditation we can transform our mind.
This retreat is an opportunity to experience the benefits of Lamrim meditation and learn how to integrate them into our life.
What to expect
Each session will be guided by Gen Kelsang Devi. He will give explanation on the particular meditation subject followed by a guided meditation. Each session lasts for an hour and consists of chanted prayers, explanations and a period of silence for contemplation and meditation. You can attend any or all retreat sessions.
During the breaks, there will be tea, cake and a vegetarian / vegan lunch on offer. The meditation room will be a silent area throughout the whole retreat for those who like to stay in calm and meditative space. The café offers plenty of opportunity to relax and enjoy the company of like-minded people.
Gen Kelsang Devi is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Center Switzerland as well as Kailash International Retreat Center in Törbel (Valais) and a modern Buddhist nun.
