Discover our buddhist meditation class in Aarau with our buddhist monk Kelsang Chogdrub. These evenings will present many inspiring insights, to help bring more peace and meaning into your daily life. These feature classes are organized as short courses, usually around four weeks long, covering a wide range of engaging topics (see below for details). You can attend the entire course, simply drop-in whenever you can (as each class is self-contained) or just come along to try a single class.
The classes include two guided meditations and a practical teaching on how to apply the ancient wisdom of Buddha’s teachings to busy modern life. Not to be missed!

Buddhas popular teachings of the Four Noble Truths will be explained in these meditation series, in a practical and light-hearted way. They offer a clear and simple solution on how to free ourselves from painful experiences. This wisdom will give us an understanding on the true causes of our human problems and how we are able to eradicate them permanently. During these evenings there will be also an opportunity to meditate on these profound teachings, which leads us to an oasis of peace within our own hearts.

Every day we encounter hundreds of situations we do not like, from stubbing our toe or having a disagreement with our partner. Our normal reaction to all of these occurrences is to become unhappy and angry. Since it is impossible to fulfil all our desires or to stop unwanted things happening to us, we need to find a different way of relating to frustrated desires and unwanted occurrences. Through training our mind in patience we will learn to keep a cool and positive state of mind all the time.

Even after 2500 years, Buddha’s wisdom has proven to be more relevant than ever. These evenings will offer an insight into basic buddhist views, such as us understanding the nature of our own mind and past and future lives. Through these teachings we will be able to recognize and abandon states of mind that harm us, and to replace them with peaceful and beneficial ones.
Kelsang Chogdrub ist ein holländischer buddhistischer Mönch und studiert und praktiziert seit über 15 Jahren Meditation und Kadampa Buddhismus. Er arbeitete und unterrichtete in einem Kadampa Meditationszentrum in Holland. Dort sammelte er wertvolle Erfahrungen, wie man Buddhismus praktisch in den Alltag umsetzt. Kelsang Chogdrub ist für sein gutes Herz und sein tiefes, praktisches Verständnis bekannt. Er unterrichtet auf Englisch mit deutscher Übersetzung.
