The practice of transference of consciousness
with Gen Kelsang Devi
Saturday 17 October 10:00–16:00 / Sunday 18 October 10:00-11:30
+ Live Stream Option and 48h Replay Link
Because we live, we must die. Everyone knows that. But very few of us can align our life with this understanding. However, if we dare to face the reality of our own and others impermanence, it will encourage us to live a happy and meaningful life and we will develop the wish to prepare well for death and to empower ourselves to be of real benefit to others at their death time.
Powa is a profound method taught by Buddha and is achieved through the power of meditation and compassion. Through the extraordinary practice of transference of consciousness, known as “Powa”, we can learn through the force of meditation and compassion to transfer the consciousness of the deceased from our present world of suffering to the pure land of a Buddha, where there is no suffering.
During this inspiring course Gen Devi will explain this particular meditation practice, which we can use for our own benefit and the benefit of others.
What to expect
On Saturday Gen Devi will give explanations with guided meditations on the practice of Powa. On Sunday morning she will lead us through the actual Powa practice with prayers and additional guided meditation.
Tea, coffee and cake will be offered during the breaks. There will be an opportunity to exchange with other course participants, or to enjoy the silence in the meditation room.
