All our teachers have several years of experience in meditation and Kadampa Buddhism. A colorful mix of different backgrounds and experiences. All of our teachers study at the Teacher Training Program and continue their education.

The Teacher

Gen Kelsang Devi is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Center Switzerland and Kailash International Retreat Center. She is a modern Buddhist nun and highly experienced teacher of the New Kadampa Tradition, who has been engaged in the study and practice of Kadampa Buddhism for more than twenty years under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.
 

During this time Gen Devi herself has been in Silence Retreat for extended periods of time and has also led a large number of group retreats lasting from several days to several months. Because of her experience, Gen Devi's teachings are powerful, clear, and practice-oriented. Through her warmth and humor, everyone can find access to the teachings.

Kathrin Hald

Kathrin Hald has been practising Kadampa Buddhism and meditation for several years. Through her demanding work, she knows how to combine inner peace and Buddha's wisdom with a hectic everyday life. Her approach to teaching the art of meditation is especially suitable for everyone.

She teaches the weekly meditation class in Winterthur.

Valentina Schweizer

Valentina has studied and practiced Kadampa Buddhism for 18 years. She worked and practiced for about seven years in an international Kadampa Meditation Center in England and gained valuable experience there. With her warm and welcoming personality, she is a living example of how we can put Buddhism into practice in daily life.

She teaches Meditation on Monday at KMC Switzerland and is a member of the center's managment team.

Gabriel Rojas

Gabriel Rojas is originally from Chile and as an engineer he has lived and worked all over the world. Alongside his professional pursuits, he has found a deep passion for meditation and is a qualified teacher at the Kadampa Meditation Centre. With over a decade of experience, Gabriel's sincere and inspiring approach to sharing the teachings of Kadam Dharma resonates with his listeners.

He teaches regularly the Spanish meditation classes at Kadampa Meditation Center.

Eva Zimmermann

Eva Zimmermann is practicing meditation and Kadampa Buddhism since 2009. She is a student in the teacher training program at Kadampa Meditation Center Switzerland. During the past 11 years she has gained valuable experience in various retreats and with working in Kadampa Centers. Her family environment and her work place provides a suitable space for her to put the buddhist insights she has gained into practice.
